So today was a good day! We visited our lovely friend Mandy at the most amazing fitness venue in Glasgow – Cyclebox.
Cyclebox is down the west end of Glasgow, and its super cool. We came up with some funky pictures for the new wildfox collection and also the brain wave of holding a pop up wildfox shop with Cyclebox.
So if your in Glasgow on Monday 30th October , from 4pm , please pop along to Cyclebox to say “HI”
Cyclebox will be doing an exclusive “Halloween ride” this afternoon – you need to download their glofox app to book up. Sweaty Betty will also be giving out trick or treat goodie bags that night too and you can get to purchase Wildfox with an exclusive 30% discount off all wildfox for that night only.
Kaley Cuoco looks casual & chic as she rocks our Sub Urban Riot grey tee, listing the ingredients for the perfect cleanse cocktail
Kaley Cuoco is well known for her healthy regime of diet and exercise. But she is also known for her sense of humour, and decided to make a statement whilst out and about today in LA. Kaley put a spin on her clean lifestyle as she rocked our Sub Urban Riot lemon ginger loose tee.
The sitcom queen paired the hilarious graphic top with light brown leggings and black knit warmers, and she accessorized the quirky look with a pair of dark retro sunglasses and neon splashed sandals.
It seems that her suburbanriot t-shirt was perfectly times too, as just the day before, Kaley made an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. Whilst on the show, she told a hilarious anecdote about being stopped by TSA on a flight with her boyfriend from Australia.
When the security agent searched her purse and found a wine bottle opener which led them to search her suitcase where another one was discovered.
‘She, like, takes it out and I’m like, oh my God, I’m going to be on a no-fly list,‘
When asked about the items, Kaley responded:
“Here’s the thing. I just like alcohol and, apparently, I needed to be very prepared”
Her timing therefore couldnt be better as her grey t-shirt shows her love for the clean and healthy lifestyle, with a nod to her love of alcohol with a mention to vodka in the recipe.
Kayley is also a huge fan of the LA label sub-urban riot, as she has become some what of a brand ambassador for them, as she is regularly snapped wearing their easy to wear pieces. The mix of clean living, with the odd anecdote to alcohol obviously appeals to her.
This tee has also just been reduced in our sub urban riot sale – so snap it up quick.
So its time to get your thinking cap on & decide what your plans are. What to wear? Do you dress up? Do you go to a party? Hold a party? Lots to think about – so we have written a handy guide for you to help you along your way.
We have been spending hours – and I mean HOURS on the handy internet looking up inventive costumes for the big day. So far, we can’t decide if we’ll make a statement and show off our political views with a standout feminist costume, or we’ll let our zodiac sign dictate this year’s outfit — the options are literally endless.
With so many options, it can be hard to pick just one, I guess you could always go to several parties and change each time?
But to help us choose it would surely be handy to know what Halloween costumes are popular this year. Fashion search platform Lyst has teamed up with one of our favourite social sites ; Pinterest to bring us the most-searched-for costumes of 2017.
The two companies have combined and crunched their data to predict what everyone will be wearing this Halloween…… dun dun dun……
1. Pennywise from It
The bloodthirsty clown only re-emerged from the sewers of Maine and into cinemas earlier this month, but Pinterest saves for clown make-up and costume ideas are up 941%. Lyst has tracked fashion searches for exaggerated ruffled shoulder shirts and white gloves, and has noticed a 14% increase in searches for lace-up pom-pom sneakers in the last month.
2. Stranger Things Characters
Last year, Lyst predicted that there would be hundreds of people dressing up as Eleven from Stranger Things, and with Season 2 set to air just before Halloween this year, it seems that the show remains a popular source of outfit inspo. Pinterest has said that “Pins” on Stranger Things images are up 40% on last year, but our psychic powers tell us that more people will dress as the young boys this year; Lyst data shows searches for trucker caps and 1980s retro style t-shirts are on the increase (see how we did that?!)
3. Belle from Beauty and the Beast
La La Land and Beauty and The Beast both caused spikes in searches for yellow dresses back in spring, and Pinterest has seen a 680% increase in pins for Beauty and the Beast characters. Belle’s iconic yellow tiered gown was also a key search trend around U.S. prom time, leading us to believe that people might re-wear their yellow dresses for Halloween. Belle’s blue apron dress, and cute Chip the teacup costumes, are also popular costume searches online.
While “sexy cat” remains a classic Halloween outfit choice, the giraffe looks set to be this year’s must-have novelty Halloween costume. Pins for giraffe makeup and costume images are up nearly 1,200% over this time 12 months ago, on Pinterest, and while there are less giraffe-print items available than leopard- or zebra-print, searches for “giraffe print” are up 27% on Lyst since June…. wow, just wow!
5. Wonder Woman
Shoppers are looking for some specific pieces on Lyst to get the Wonder Woman look: Searches for “red corset” are up 115% year on year, and sales of chunky gold cuffs are up 15% since June. There are also more than 230,000 Wonder Woman costume ideas saved on Pinterest right now.
6. Game of Thrones Characters
Thanks to Daenerys Targaryen’s epic wardrobe this season, global searches for grecian gowns are up 30% since last year, on Lyst, and searches for “light blue gown,” her favorite colour, are up 160%! More than 400 people have just searched “Daenerys” in the fashion search bar space on Lyst this summer. Pinterest pins on “Khaleesi” looks are up 91% year on year. King of the North Jon Snow’s shaggy fur look is set to be a popular costume, too: Pinterest pins for Jon Snow are up 280% over the past 12 months, and Lyst is seeing around 4,000 searches a day for black and grey fur stoles right now.
7. Baywatch Babe
This year’s remake of the Baywatch franchise has led to a 147% increase in related costume ideas on Pinterest compared to this time last year, and Lyst data shows global searches for red one-piece swimsuits increased 240% this summer.
The world is keen to embrace the swinging ’60s hippie spirit this Halloween. Searches for patterned flares are up over 150% since June, and Lyst has seen round-lens, coloured sunglasses and flower crowns sell out. Hippie outfit idea pins are up 130% on Pinterest since last year.
The unicorn costume was a popular trend during festival season, and a top pinned costume on Pinterest last Halloween, and these looks are set to continue growing in popularity this year as well. Searches including “unicorn” are up 130% on Lyst since May, and +110% since last year on Pinterest. Unicorn headbands are the most-wanted unicorn fashion product globally right now. Unicorns are our fav too!
In the U.K., mermaids are already more popular than unicorns, and sexy sea siren looks are trending all over the world too. With more than 1.4 million pins on Pinterest and 8,000 searches a month globally for “mermaid leggings” on Lyst since July, you can bet to see a lot of mermaids at Halloween parties this year.
So there you have it! However if you dont fancy indulging in costumes, we have some great alternatives for you. Our fav Wildfox has just released their new Halloween collection & its suitably stylish for the spooky season. We also have quirky spider hair buns, a cute little ghost earrings.
Somewhere over the rainbow is all our childhood dreams coming true!
If your an 80s kid (like us) then theres a fair chance you grew up with My Little Ponies – brushing and pleating their hair, playing at horse races, boys singing “my little pony, skinny and bony” – or maybe that was just our school – but ANYWAY My Little Pony are an iconic symbol from the 80s, along with perms, neon bright colours and so much more ; but thats for another day!
So imagine our delight when we saw the Moschino My Little Pony catwalk – literally died and gone to pony heaven.
Moschino are always whacky, different and unique. And when they team up with equally extravagant Jeremy Scott then you just know its going to be AWESOME! And this does not disappoint!
The New York Post describe the 2018 collections My Little Pony Parade, as being “80s love on steroids“
MLP horses are haute!
This new capsule collection debuted on Thursday at Milan fashion’s week.
The cute, quirky range includes pony-powered tees, dresses, swimwear, phone cases (gifted to lucky show attendees – still waiting on our invite … sad face) and the ultimate old school accessory: a bag made to look like a tin lunchbox; eeeek!!!!
Most of Moschino’s looks throw back to 1980s “My Little Pony” TV graphics. But there are some newer neigh-sayers in the mix, too. (you can never have too many ponies.)
The collection promptly trotted from Milan’s runway to Moschino’s website and is available for purchase RIGHT now.
However it does have the Moschino price tag – double EEEK!!!
So who is Alice Vandy – well if you dont know, Alice Vandy is a totally awesome designer based in Cornwall. If you want to know more about her check out our exclusive interview with her, which we did last year >here<
Oh and her brand is loved by celebrities like Jessie J, Little Mix, Rita Ora and stylist to the stars Alexis Knox.
Alice creates the most fabulous alternative fashion brand, which gives you a unique and fun clothing range, which effortlessly fuses fairytale fantasy with youthful streetwear. Alice Vandy collections morph the contours of the body creating organic, exotic and robotic second skins. Alice focuses on delivering magical madness with her notoriously bold signature prints and has a growing tribe of Diamond Warriors and Bubble Wall cuties. Testament to her design majorness, Alice Vandy was asked to collaborate with My Little Pony and has just launched her third exclusive collection of ponyland power pieces with the sugary sweet Hasbro phenomenon.
So gals we present to you, Alice Vandy x My Little Pony. A fabulously quirky and fun range of My Little Pony maxi dresses, bodycon dresses, catsuits and bodysuits. Paris Hilton none the less, had already snapped up one of the MLP bodies and wore it in Amnesia Ibiza.
The range is easy on the purse, and is superior quality. The fabric is supersoft and moulds and sculpts in all the right places.
With the slogan t-shirt still as popular as ever, one new trend for AW17 is positivity!
T-Shirts with empowering and motivational slogans, are all over the place right now. Its time to refresh your wardrobe and get with this seasons hottest trend!
These days it seems, social media is no longer the best place to express your emotions – your body now is! Wear it on a t-shirt and tell the world how you are feeling. Slogans work on so many different levels; they’re almost subliminal. They’re also a way you aligning yourself to a particular cause. Wearing one is like branding yourself!
We saw all the catwalks full of tongue in cheek and positive slogans, and have seen celebrities all over the globe wearing their feelings on a t-shirt – many “political” and directed at the new USA president, Donald Trump! And even here in the UK, during the last election, loads of slogan tees and sweaters for Jeremy Corbyn.
So the simple rule for AW17 is , if you have got something to get off your chest? Then this is the year to do it literally, and in style!
Whether for self-expression, humor, empowerment or purely aesthetic purposes, subtle or overt, the slogan tee is making a big statement this season.
Most fashionistas pinpoint the current slogan tee trend to have started with Maria Grazia Chiuri sending a t-shirt down the runway at Dior reading “We should all be feminists“. However the slogan top has been a way of self-expression, for several years! Going right back to Katharine Hamnett in the 80s with bold, block lettered slogans like “Choose Life” and “Worldwide nuclear ban now” and Henry Holland of House of Holland, whose “Fashion Groupies” t-shirts, which gave loud, bright and cleverly rhymed nods to the current fashion set, including “What a corker Karen Walker” and “I’ll show you who’s boss Kate Moss” were the must-have item of 2006.
“I wanted to put a really large message on t-shirts that could be read from 20 or 30ft away,”
Hamnett told The Guardian in 2009.
Part of the slogan tee’s appeal is down to the fact its super versatile, and an easy piece to incorporate into any wardrobe.
As the trend began with Dior, it’s also set the tone for how to wear it right now; midi skirts in full shapes, translucent fabrics, in pretty prints or with glittering embellishment, paired with pumps and maybe a blazer.
Other options are to team it up with some vintage denim or a even masculine style suit, or channel your inner rock chick with some skinny leather pants.
A pairing we’re not seeing much with statement tees though is trainers, perhaps as this is less of a casual look and more the “fashion” take on the t-shirt – but there’s still plenty of footwear freedom with the full spectrum of heels, loafers and ballet flats making an appearance front row with slogan tops at fashion weeks around the globe.
Now all you need to do is decide what it is you want to say.
So what are you waiting for?
With brands like Wildfox and Ragged Priest (among others) at your fashionable fingertips…. get your message heard loud and clear.
Its not just tees either – you can wear a slogan sweater, even a slogan beanie this winter.
If you’ve spotted your favourite celebrity or blogger wearing an impossibly flattering plaid shirt in the last few years, then there’s a good chance it was made by American clothing brand, Rails.
What, you say, could possibly be so special about a button-down lumberjack style shirt? Well, the fashion forward sect can concede to the fact that stiff cotton shirts now take a backseat to more draped silhouettes that look relaxed, yet refined. Rails owner and LA boy, Jeff Abrams and his design team have cracked the code and established a brand which not only produces high quality garments, but effortlessly embodies the Southern California vibe, that consumers have been yearning after for years… think Wildfox and Lauren Moshi.
To the layman, a shirt is a shirt and on many levels, and yes although this notion is true, there is something more unique which is happening here! Because since the creation of the Rails brand in 2008, its signature button-down shirt have now become an “it girl” must-have. Celebrity fans of the brand include Supermodel Gisele Bundchen, Jessica Alba, Reese Witherspoon, Cheryl Cole, Una Foden and many many more; in addition to these there are top Fashion Bloggers like Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad and Aimee Song of Song of Style, who constantly rave about these fun rails shirts.
“I started Rails at a time when celebrity influence was becoming exponentially more visible. Not only tabloids, but reputable fashion publications began covering celebrities’ daily lives and style”, Abrams shared. “Soon after came the emergence and popularity of bloggers and social media channels which gave us a global audience, but the growth of our celebrity following has been very organic; they are wearing our collection because they genuinely love the products.”
It all started with hats and hooded sweatshirts, Abrams shared. From there, he widened his scope to include a new take on button-down shirts: the staple that catapulted Rails to celebrity status. “When I first started making shirts, almost all of the button downs on the market were in some form of a stiff cotton fabrication”, Abrams recalls. “So I developed a unique tencel/rayon blended fabric that would maintain the classic shirting heritage, but that felt luxurious and draped in a sexier, more feminine way. We applied this concept to plaids, denims, solids, and prints, focusing on becoming experts on both fit and feel.” – Jeff Abrams , Rails Creator
Rails is now a top seller in contemporary fashion. Numbers don’t lie; the company has seen 300% growth year-over-year, with no sign of slowing.

Lucy Watson is snap happy with her Skinnydip London iPhone case
Former Made in Chelsea star, Lucy Watson snaps up a storm with her skinnydip london iPhone case over the weekend
It looks as if Lucy Watson, is more loved up than ever with her boyfriend JP, as she supported him during his Tough Mudder Challenge endurance course in Henley-On-Thames on Saturday.
Lucy was dressed casually, yet cool for the occasion, as she smiled with her pregnant bestie Alexandra ‘Binky’ Felstead.
Pairing some funky flatform trainers with her look, Lucy clad her lithe pins in a pair of skinny denims, and kept warm in a navy knit jumper.
We think Lucy looks totally relaxed and happy as she supported her man with Binky, who was also there to cheer on her baby’s father Josh ‘JP’ Patterson.
Binky wore a form-fitting black top that clung to her blossoming baby bump putting it prominently on display, and a large pair of sunglasses.
Lucy grabbed boyfriend James for a quick selfie with her skinnydip london iPhone case covering her phone. Lucy is a huge fan of skinny dip london and has been a massive fan of the brand since it was founded. She regularly is seen with their famous iPhone cases, bags and accessories. And we can understand why. Skinnydip came around due to a gap in the market for a quirky, fun and purse friendly accessories brand…. and since its inception it has gone from strength to strength …. so much so they are even opening up a store in NYC – WOW!
We actually had the privilege of visiting the skinnydip store in London a few weeks ago (pics below) as well as the new Ragged Priest store (it was like Christmas!)
Anyway Lucys exact phone case is below if you want to purchase this 🙂
